The TOVS website is made available to you under the following terms and conditions. By using the site and the services available on it you are deemed to accept these terms and conditions and any additional terms and conditions which apply to services and information provided by third parties. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law and any disputes shall be decided by the English courts.

Site Availability

We aim to ensure that the standard of the site remains high and is continuously available. However at times the site may not be available due to maintenance, technical faults, or other reasons beyond our control and we will accept no financial liability in the event of such unavailability. We may alter the design and specification of the site at any time.

Data Protection

The use of CVs and other personal data supplied by users of the site is governed by our Privacy Policy. (see below)

Use of the Site

The information, personal data, CVs and services available on the site are provided for the sole purpose of assisting freelancers and candidates to find employment and assisting employers to find staff on a freelance basis. Personal data will be processed and stored by us and made available to prospective employers. Information may be used, downloaded and printed from the site for these purposes only and for no other personal or commercial reason. You may not otherwise copy, display, transmit or distribute any material from the site and you may only use the site for lawful purposes and must not seek to access, alter or delete any information to which you do not have authorised access. Neither must you seek to overload the system via spamming or otherwise, or use any means to crash, delay, damage or interfere with the operation of the site nor attempt to disassemble, decipher or modify any of the software, coding or information found within the site.

You are responsible for ensuring all information supplied by you is accurate and up to date, not likely to mislead or deceive nor be obscene, offensive, discriminatory or otherwise illegal or unlawful. You are also responsible for ensuring that all information, data and files are free of viruses or other applications which may damage or interfere with the performance of the site.

We reserve the right to modify or remove any information or advertisement supplied by you from the website at our sole discretion at any time and for any reason without explanation.


CVs contained on the site are provided by freelancers and we accept no responsibility or liability for the content of CVs or job postings. It is the employers responsibility to carry out such checks and procedures as are necessary to ensure that freelancers are suitable for the relevant job and have the required qualifications.


You are responsible for the content of your advertisement and ensuring that it complies with the relevant legislation and codes of practice. You are also responsible for dealing with any orders or enquiries relating to services or goods to which the advertisement relates. Should we or our third party subcontractors make an error in displaying any advertisement we will endeavour to display or run the advertisement as soon as is conveniently possible. Neither we nor our subcontractors will be liable for any loss of profit or business nor have any liability for failure to display or run the advertisement.

Dealings with Freelancers

You agree to deal professionally with freelancers you may contact via the website and not do anything which may bring TOVS into disrepute. You will indemnify TOVS from and against any claim brought by a freelancer against TOVS arising from your breach of this obligation or any other of these terms and conditions.


You will indemnify us from and against any claims or liability arising from the content or links contained in your advertisements. If your advertisement links to another site, you are responsible for maintaining the links and for the content of your advertisement and the linked site. We may remove any advertisement which contains content or links to a any site which, in our opinion, is defamatory or objectionable or will bring TOVS into disrepute.

Use of the Database

The database is to be used for the sole purpose of finding suitable freelancers by using the information contained therein for the purpose of contacting freelancers via TOVS for a specific job. You may not use the material for use in any database or contact freelancers or make or allow any use of the information about those individuals other than for the purpose of finding suitable work. Database rights (pursuant to the Copyright and Rights in Databases Regulations 1997) and all other applicable copyright and intellectual property rights in the candidate database belong to TOVS. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any rights in the database or its content and that your retention and use of the database and its content is governed by these terms and conditions.

Countries Outside of the United Kingdom

If any of the services or goods offered through the site are not lawful or permitted in countries outside the United Kingdom should you try to order, purchase or receive such services or goods we do not accept any liability for any losses suffered by you in using this website which you would not have suffered had you been accessing this website as a United Kingdom resident.


All copyright, database rights and other intellectual property rights in the site and the material available on the site belongs to TOVS or its third party suppliers. Use of the site does not give you any proprietary rights in such materials.

Membership Fee

In the event of your agreeing to subscribe to membership of TOVS you agree to your CV and limited personal data being available to prospective clients and the general public. Failure to renew your membership or non payment of fees will result in the removal of your details from our system.

Refund Policy

All monies which are paid to us by you are non-refundable and cancellation and/or termination of the service by you or us at any time for whatever reason will not entitle you to a refund of any monies paid.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions may be changed by us at any time and if substantial will be promoted either via email notification or on the website. Following any amendment you will be deemed to accept these amended terms when you next use this site.

Privacy Policy


At TOVS we make every effort to comply with our obligations under the 1998 Data Protection Act and understand the importance of keeping the confidentiality of any personal data you may give us whilst using the site.


All data supplied by you is stored by us in order to provide you with the information you require to assist you in finding employment on a freelance basis.

Personal Data

When you register your personal data and CV this will be made available for viewing and downloading via an internet search facility by any prospective employers, organisations or customers who have registered on the TOVS website. We cannot restrict avvess to any CV and the content therein nor can be held responsible for any eventuality that may arise from this. It is your responsibility to ensure that your CV and contact details are kept up to date and we recommend that this is carried our on a regular basis.

Your personal data is stored by TOVS but is protected by your password and can only be edited by TOVS or by you. Your can cancel your membership at any time by giving the required notice and your details will then be automatically removed from our database and not be accessible by any employers using the TOVS website.


Cookies are ways of saving a small amount of personal information. They are stored by us on your computer which enables us to identify your computer easily when you access the TOVS website.

Statistical Information

Any statistical information - ie the number of visitors to the site or the number of CVs on the database - will not include any information that identifies individual members.

Changes to Policy

Any policy changes will be posted on this page and if substantial will be promoted either via email notification or on the website.
