  • Available on Netflix: The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann

    A detailed look of the disappearance of 3-year-old Madeleine McCann who vanished from the seaside resort of Praia de Luz in Portugal, while on holiday with her family. It was a disappearance that reverberated around the world as the Portuguese police together with Scotland Yard mobilised a major investigation which would go on to become the most high-profile missing child case in British history. You can watch the documentary series on Netflix right now. Edited by our very own Michael Rolt.

  • It’s Friday!! It must be time for the TOVS TV Times…

    First up on SATURDAY we have All Together Now on BBC One at 7.35pm. Rob Beckett hosts the musical talent show with a twist, as a range of singers step on-stage for a chance to win a £50,000 cash prize. We’re big fans here in the office. This week's contestants perform tracks by Bruno Mars, Zayn Malik, Freddie Mercury and Shirley Bassey!

    The Jonathan Ross Show is over on ITV at 9.20pm. The host is set for some football-themed chat as he is joined this week by the legend that is Harry Redknapp. There's also a catch-up with one the leading lights of the supermodel world, Naomi Campbell, and music by Dido. Sounds like we’re in for a treat!

    Then on SUNDAY it’s the next episode of Top Gear on BBC Two at 8pm. Matt, Chris & Rory buy three used luxury limousines from Rolls-Royce, Bentley & Mercedes for the price of the cheapest new car in Britain. We’re loving the new series so far!

    On MONDAY don’t forget to check out the brand new series of Four in a Bed on Channel 4 at 5pm. The competition starts at the School House B&B in Pencader, Carmarthenshire, where owners Jayne and Ian Hall-Edwards hope their environmental approach will win over their guests.

    Over on E4 at 9pm it’s the always brilliant Celebs Go Dating. The famous faces are paired up and have to choose dates for one another at a mixer, and Pete is not happy when he is teamed up with Sam. Drama!!

    Finally TUESDAY don’t miss episode 2 of Derry Girls at 9.15pm on Channel 4. English teacher Ms De Brún (Judith Roddy) arrives at Our Lady Immaculate and the friends immediately find themselves inspired. Meanwhile, Da Gerry attempts to take Ma Mary out on a date to the cinema, where things definitely don't go according to plan!!

  • The weekend is nearly upon us which can only mean one thing… time for this week’s TOVS TV Times.

    First up TODAY it’s Escape to the Country on BBC One at 3.10pm. Nicki Chapman heads on a house-hunting mission in the Kent countryside with a strong-minded couple who have a £900,000 budget and completely different views on the style of the large family home they want to buy.

    Over on More4 at 6.55pm it’s Car SOS. Presenter Tim Shaw, master mechanic Fuzz Townshend and a team of experts head to Eastbourne in East Sussex to take on an iconic French front-wheel drive car.

    Then on BT Sport 2 from 7.15pm the FA Cup returns. QPR, playing in the fifth round for the first time in 22 years, host Watford at Loftus Road. The Hornets have lost just one of their last nine matches.

    The Graham Norton Show is on BBC One at 10.35pm. Comedians Rob Beckett and Stephen Merchant are on the sofa this week, and there’s music from Calvin Harris and Rag ’n’ Bone Man.

    On SATURDAY first up its Harry Hill’s Alien Fun Capsule on ITV2 at 1pm. In this fun packed episode there’s a montage of Charlie Brooks’s time on EastEnders & Carol Vorderman’s days on How 2. Plus a slapstick game of human Tetris!

    It’s the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix Athletics on BBC One from 1.15pm. Gabby Logan presents live coverage of the prestigious one-day meeting from the Arena Birmingham, where a world-class field is expected to take part in various disciplines.

    Over to Channel 4 at 5.35pm for The Secret Life of the Zoo. Young meerkat parents Huskie and Beagle have a new baby, Junior, but keepers have to step in when he falls gravely ill. Meanwhile, red panda Nima meets a new mate, Koda.

    Finally you can’t miss The Voice on ITV at 8pm. It’s now the final week of the blind auditions, with another batch of performers singing unseen for the coaches and hoping to make a good enough impression to inspire a chair turn.

    On SUNDAY it’s the final of the Welsh Open Snooker. The final session starts on Quest from 6.45pm. The thirteenth ranking event of the 2018/19 season and the final event of the Home nations Series concludes.

    A brand new series of Top Gear starts on BBC One at 8pm. Matt LeBlanc, Rory Reid and Chris Harris return for their final run of the motoring show. Matt and Chris go to Norway to test drive the latest estate cars from Porsche and Ferrari, while Rory is joined by racing driver Sabine Schmitz to create Britain's newest mountain with the help of a tiny Suzuki!

  • Here is this week's TOVS TV Times…

    TONIGHT do not miss...

    Through The Keyhole at 10.45pm on ITV. This week’s panellists are Danny Dyer, Sally Phillips & Chris Kamara, who visit three mystery celebrity homes, & are challenged to guess the identities of the famous occupants. The always hilarious Keith Lemon hosts.

    On Sky One at 9pm it’s A League of Their Own: European Road Trip. Jamie Redknapp & Andrew Flintoff race through Paris on its Formula E circuit, before playing darts with Anthony Joshua & Tom Davis in front of 10,000 fans in Rotterdam.

    Then on SATURDAY we have…

    The Voice on ITV at 8pm. Coaches Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, Olly Murs & Will.i.am tune their expert ears to those stepping up for the blind auditions. In this episode, these include a boy band and a singer who auditioned last series and is returning for another shot.

    Over on Discovery at 11pm it’s Gold Rush: White Water. The Dakota Boys struggle to run their two dredges until new man, Casey Morgan, arrives, but they are soon a man down again when a crew member is savagely burned.

    On SUNDAY tune in to…

    Dancing On Ice at 6pm on ITV. Phil and Holly introduce the first judges' challenge of the series. The contestants & their professional partners will be competing to impress Christopher Dean, Jayne Torvill, Ashley Banjo & Jason Gardiner.

    George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces is on Channel 4 at 8pm. This week the architect meets a 17-year-old builder who has transformed a narrowboat into a floating holiday home, and a bride-to-be who has bought a disused burger van with the intention of turning it into a mobile bar for her wedding reception.

    First up TONIGHT it’s The Graham Norton Show on BBC One at 10.35pm. This week Graham is joined by X-Men star James McAvoy & Sarah Paulson. Plus, iconic Withnail & I actor Richard E Grant discusses comedy drama Can You Ever Forgive Me? Finally Steve Coogan (huge fans!) & John C Reilly reflect on playing legendary double act Laurel and Hardy in Stan and Ollie. A great line up this week!

    Moving on to SATURDAY we have The Greatest Dancer on BBC One at 8.10pm. Alesha Dixon & Jordan Banjo host the dancing contest, featuring performers from a variety of styles who are competing for a £50,000 prize AND the chance to showcase their skills on the next series of Strictly Come Dancing!

    Finally on SUNDAY how about some Dancing On Ice? Over on ITV at 6pm Phillip Schofield & Holly Willoughby host the skating challenge. After last week's first round of performances six remaining celebrities & their professional partners take to the ice for the first time to impress judges Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean, Ashley Banjo and Jason Gardiner with their skills.

    On THURSDAY the NBA comes to the O2 London. The New York Knicks play the Washington Wizards live on Sky Sports from 8pm. The ninth NBA London encounter will see the Wizards play their first overseas regular-season match. We can’t wait for this one!

  • Happy Friday! Here is the first TOVS TV Times of 2019...

    First up for TONIGHT is...
    Jamie & Jimmy’s Friday Night Feast at 8pm on Channel 4. Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty kick off the New Year with their first all-vegan menu. Comedian Romesh Ranganathan may have mentioned once or twice that he’s vegan. The subject certainly crops up in his routines quite often, in comments like this one: “You can either choose to be a vegan, or you can choose to enjoy life.”!

    Over on BBC One at 10.35pm it’s Graham Norton’s Good Story Guide. So many wonderful stories have been shared chez Norton and now – with a little help from Rob Brydon – the host reveals what it takes to spin a deliciously good yarn.

    Then on SATURDAY night it’s the first in the new series of...
    The Voice on ITV at 8pm. The singing contest returns for an eighth series, with Emma Willis as host and judges Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson and Will.i.am taking a seat in the series' trademark spinning red chairs.

    Straight after it’s Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? At 9.35pm. Jeremy Clarkson hosts the penultimate episode in a week-long run of the big-prize quiz, inviting another line-up of contestants to answer questions that could change their lives - with lifelines Ask the Audience, Ask the Host, Phone a Friend and 50:50 available to them if they get stuck.

    Moving onto SUNDAY it’s the new series of...
    SAS: Who Dares Wins on Channel 4 at 9pm
    This year the ministry of defence will be changing their selection criteria for the SAS, allowing women to apply for the first time. To coincide with this, this series will feature male and female candidates competing against one another. Ant Middleton hosts.
