Andrew Evans

Editor

PROFILE

Andrew has proved time & time again he can take complex stories & turn them into ratings winners. Programmes & series he has edited have won two RTS awards, two Foreign Press Awards & BANFF as well as been nominated for 2 Prix Europas, a Canadian Screen award & a BAFTA. He enjoys the challenge of a large amount of rushes & building a film in the edit suite. He has an eye for structure& plot & understands what makes a good story & how to tell it. He’s very experienced in all genres, good with music & fun to work with.

Using Avid and FCP, Andrew offlines to a very high standard including graphics and audio track laying. He is also experienced in taking complex programmes from offline to HD delivery and now DCP. His Symphony experience involves complex graphics, grading, blobbing and destrobing.

He is especially interested in long haul offline work in broadcast documentaries and series and onlining documentaries, commercials and pop promos on Symphony. He is also very experienced in “fast turnaround” programming as well as a safe pair of hands when a programme is having problems in the edit.

Andrew has shared a cutting room with all levels of directors or producers. Enjoying his time with some of the country’s most experienced directors and rookie edit producers. For a slightly increased rate he is also happy to work alone as a preditor.

He has kit at home to enable him to edit remotely, a fast internet connection and he lives centrally so is happy to work in West End facilities that are Covid safe if necessary.
