As well as his sports experience he has also worked in the live news environment to on-air deadlines and has covered many documentaries, quiz and LE programmes for both terrestrial and satellite channels.

1985 – 1988 TRO to SRO, Engineering and Operations Department

Responsible for recording, editing and transmission using mainly
Ampex equipment using the Quad 2” format on AVR2’s and the
1” C format on VPR2, VPR3 and VPR6 machines.
B format 1 inch and C format 525 were also used.
Although based at 80 Wood Lane, some work entailed studio VT at BBC TV Centre
