Recommendations:
Ian Denyer, Edit Producer: Benefits Britain 1949 CH4
‘’Her humour under pressure was a significant factor – but most of all it was her narrative abilities, speed of beautiful cutting and understanding of the use of music, which is never a given, were what made the real difference – without these strengths I do believe
the series might not have made transmission. I am desperate to work with her again – and I know Channel 4, currently the most exacting UK broadcaster, feel the same”.
John Edginton, Director: Genesis Together and Apart BBC2
“Helen was great. She’s very focussed and can certainly work on her own. Has good intuition about the material and she has the confidence to suggest her ideas. Not a prima donna about what works or doesn’t. It was the first time I had worked with her and I would certainly use her again.”
Dan Clifton, Director: 80s The Decade That Made Us Nat Geo
“I can highly recommend Helen as a film editor. She is quick to grasp the complexities of a story, has great solutions to solve the inevitable visual and editorial problems a film can present, and most of all she is a very nice person and great to spend time with in the cutting room.”
