Jamie is a highly experienced and multi-skilled television OB Sound Supervisor, Guarantee, Operator and Grams Op who regularly works on a variety of productions in the UK and abroad, often in challenging environments.  A specialist in ‘Fly Away’ operations and good knowledge of RF, wireless systems and boom op.

Jamie has 26 years of working on many prestigious productions and live events and is a committed team player and flexible worker, able to adapt quickly to changing situations.

WORK HISTORY:

Freelance career 2014 – current
– Director of Gateway Audio Limited
– A decade of working as a freelancer for companies such as EMG, Timeline, Cloudbass, NEP in a variety of roles.

BBC Outside Broadcasts 1997-2008/SIS LIVE 2008-2014
– Joined as a trainee sound operator.
– Progressed to sound operator in 1999. Main jobs were on-site configuration, testing and operation of microphones and communications equipment for a live TV broadcast.
– Promoted to deputy sound supervisor in 2007. Operational guarantee of OB trucks in the fleet.
– Acted as sound supervisor from 2006. Led sound crews and was responsible for the audio output of live TV productions.
