Josh started out in the industry in 2017, making the move from Australia to begin working towards aspirations of editing. During this time he has grown and developed into a knowledgeable, efficient and composed edit assistant; always going above and beyond to meet the needs of the client. Over the last few years, Josh’s skills have been utilized by a wide variety of post production houses in an edit assistant role. These facilities include the likes of the BBC, Envy, Red Bee Media, Timeline TV, Input Media & Radiant Post to name a few. Josh’s strongest attributes include his interpersonal skills and ability to build quality working relationships with both clients and staff. This paired with his passion for broadcast and experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment make him a valuable asset to any team.

Day to day technical support for 35+ offline and online edits including organising projects, grouping, syncing, pulling rushes and alternative mic reps. Carrying out a variety of exports for both the online and offline edits, including the creation of INT master files. AS11 file creation, EDL creation, AAFs, screeners and deliverables. Conforming final offline sequences for online. Carrying out promo cuts under instruction and exporting sequences for previews. Delivering final master files. Collating and archiving of large-scale rushes and media management using both Nearline, YoYotta and Neofinder. File-based ingest in addition to blackbird troubleshooting (Forscene). On-site data wrangling as well as a previous history using Signiant Mediashuttle to securely transfer data between clients and remote edits.
