PROFILE

Louis is an outside broadcast sound engineer who’s been honing his craft since 2010. He started his career at Bow Tie Television in Westminster, working across the UK Parliaments broadcast operations as an Audio Technician, covering live committee meetings and events.  He later progressed to the role of Multi-skilled Operator, where he was responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of both audio and visual technical facilities.

With a strong desire to move in to outside broadcasting Louis joined Arena Television as a Sound Engineer in 2019. Here he worked across all aspects of an OB from technical planning, bespoke rack building and kit maintenance in base, to rigging on location positions in arenas and stadiums. These include commentary, studio and pitchside positions as well as rigging effects microphones and working with in-house crew to obtain technical requirements such as FOH splits and PA feeds. Louis is experienced working in a wide range of formats and genres for both live and recorded television for sport and light entertainment and has built up a good reputation with both clients and colleagues over the years.

He went freelance in November 2021 and continues to look forward to working with clients old and new!
