All aspects of OB rigging, ‘cables, cameras, monitors, time-code generators’.
Installing extra RCP’s and MSU’s, waveform monitors and scopes where needed.
Base level maintenance.
Assisting the Engineers/Tech Managers from rigging equipment and problem solving, through to plugging up and re-patching of OB trucks and galleries and overseeing any technical requirements from the client.
Full comprehension of Grass Valley and Sony vision mixers, and DVE’s as well as VT Operation both on disk and SSD’s.
In-depth knowledge of Pix recorders.
Installing in-line equipment (Colour correctors, synchronisers, extra video DA’s etc).
Re-patching and re-plugging galleries.
Good fault finding skills.
Maintaining good working relationships with colleagues and customers in a pressurised atmosphere.
