Profile

Louis is a UK based sound engineer who's been honing his craft since 2010.  He was staff at Arena Television for two years and has been freelance since November 2021.  He's happy to work on all areas of live entertainment and has predominantly worked in the broadcast sector.

He's experienced in a wide range of formats and genres of both live and recorded television for sport and light entertainment.

  • Setup, rig/de-rig of multiple LED paneled screens across “Lock up”, “Alternative” and “Festival Republic” stages
  • Camera balancing and setup of end to end fly-away vision system including routing of: multiple HD camera feeds to vision mixer, multi-view monitor screens, LED displays and audio talkback/communications systems.
  • Camera Operation and vision mixing.

Technical Operator, Viewpress Media Solutions, British Eventing – Horse Trials [June 2016 – July 2016]

  • Setup and maintenance of Sony PMW series system cameras and Blackmagic ATEM composite camera and talkback converters.
  • Camera and vision mixer operation.
  • Maintenance of fibre cable routing between OB compound and multiple camera positions.
  • Technical support to crew including on-camera troubleshooting, setup of tripods, viewfinders and SDI cable routing.
