Profile

Marcus cut his teeth as a staff member at Telegenic OB & has been a freelance Vision Engineer since 2014.

He is capable of racking various cameras & setting up all out board technical kit including Radio Cameras, Mini Cameras, Commentary Positions, Studio Positions & all video feeds to & from the OB truck. He has worked with a wide range of fibre equipment & is able to clean & protect all kit and cable. He is also able to fault find any problems & try to rectify these on site, something which is key under the high pressured environment of the OB world.

As engineering manager he was in charge of all technical kit on and off the OB Truck. His responsibilities included wiring CCUs, EVS' & VT’s along with a range of other kit. He was responsible for routing all Video feeds around the truck, setting up the directors vision mixer & responsible for the picture quality of the whole OB. He is confidient working on range of manufactures kit including Sony, Grass Valley, Probel, Leitch, Crystal, Blackmagic. He has built small 6 camera flyaway systems and is experienced in using various video capture devices to stream content.

Prior to his life in the world of TV, Marcus spent 6 year in the British Army. His ability work under pressure is therefore second to none. He can use his initiative & pre-empt problems to make an OB run smoothly. He enjoys working as part of a team & can be trusted to complete all tasks to a high standard. In addition to all of this he is reliable, polite, hardworking & above all else a really lovely person!
